The almogrote has the texture of a pâté made with cured fatty cheese. It is produced in a traditional way, following the typical recipe of La Gomera, which indicates that after the crushing of all the ingredients, it is packed in 200 g glass jars, as they are packaged with regulated temperatures and pasteurisation process. It is reddish orange in colour, with a characteristic aroma of medium intensity and durability and a creamy texture. It is ready to eat but it is recommended that it be stirred before use and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, but once opened it should be kept cold.
The ingredients are: cured fat cheese (milk), sunflower oil, granulated garlic, capsicum (Capsicum annuum), antioxidant: citric acid, preservative: potassium sorbate, natural flavouring, colouring agent: paprika extract, hot paprika extract.
