It is a pâté made with cured cheese, usually goat's cheese if it is of Canary Island origin, and vegetables, oil, garlic, wine vinegar and red pepper are added to give it consistency. The almogrote de bruco la palma is pale orange in colour and has an intense cheesy flavour with a more or less spicy touch thanks to the red pepper. It is usually eaten spread on bread or as an accompaniment to good papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes).
